New Naruto spin-off game coming to North America in March
Cue the Rock Lee theme
Fans of Shonen anime in North America have a new game to add to their watch lists, as Namco Bandai announced that Naruto: Powerful Shippuden will come to the 3DS.
Based on the Naruto spin-off series Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals, Naruto Powerful Shippuden will play as a high-energy, side scrolling fighter with plenty of characters and over-the-top animations to make fans happy.
In Naruto Powerful Shippuden, players will have the choice to play as either Naruto Uzumaki or Rock Lee as they brawl their way through missions based on the anime's storylines.
Shippuden shape
Better still, Naruto Powerful Shippuden will offer two gameplay modes: a story-based campaign mode and an endless battle mode.
There's no hard release date yet, but Namco Bandai lists March 2013 as the launch window. IGN points out that Gamestop has already created a product listing for the game, and it's also available for pre-order on Amazon.
Naruto Powerful Shippuden was released in Japan as Naruto SD Powerful Shippuden on November 29, and had a playable demo at this year's Tokyo Game Show.
While there's no English trailer for the game yet, the Japanese trailer gives an idea of what players can expect from this game.
