New details on PlayStation All-Stars DLC surface, revealing new game level

A few weeks back we learned that Starhawk’s Emmett Graves and Kat from Gravity Rush would join the cast of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

On Tuesday, new information posted on the PlayStation blog shed some light on how these two characters will actually play.

Emmet Graves will make full use of Starhawk's Build & Battle customization system. This will allow players to freely switch between weapons like a long range rocket launcher and shorter ranged (but incredibly devastating) grenade launcher on the fly.

Also, if a bit unfairly, Emmet can hop into the anti-personnel Hawk vehicle in an imposing mech configuration to punish his opponents.

Feel the Rush

While Emmet focuses on delivering a beating, Kat will be a more strategic, aerial fighter.

To get airborne, players can use Kat's Gravity Dash mode that allows her to fly in eight directions. Similar to a glide move in Dissidia, this will give Kat a hefty advantage over less nimble opponents.Kat can also create gravity wells to trap opponents in a certain portion of the board.

When it comes time to deliver the final blow, Kat's high-powered Gravity Squeeze will end the bout with a bang.

The post on the PlayStation blog wrapped up by revealing a new board called "Fearless" which combines the world of Heavenly Sword with WipEout.

There's still no release date for when this DLC will go live, but those who download it in the first two weeks will receive both new characters for free.
