Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward creator confirms follow-up game on Twitter

The creator of the Pocket Gamer Gold Award-winning Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward has been discussing details regarding the third game in his puzzle series on Twitter.

Kotaro Uchikoshi - director and writer of Nintendo DS game 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors, and the 3DS and Vita follow-up Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward - engaged in a back-and-forth with fans on the social network last week.

During the exchange - which began with Uchikoshi explaining plot and character points pertaining to the most recent game - the series helmer teased his audience with some info about the third entry in the series.

Tread carefully

Given the narrative-driven nature of the franchise, some players may want to finish the first two games before diving into the thread. Returning characters and upcoming plot points are discussed, so proceed with caution.

To date, the games have revolved around an imprisoned character attempting to win his freedom against 8 other incarcerated individuals. Players must decide whether to trust or betray their fellow prisoners, decisions which can have terminal consequences for all involved.

Whether you read Uchkoshi's posts or not, you can take solace in the fact that a third game is in the works - a huge relief given the last game's cliffhanger ending.
