A little later than expected, Square Enix's award-winning puzzle game KooZac has just gone live on Apple's App Store.

Best described as a cross between Tetris and sudoku, KooZac involves positioning specific number blocks in such a way that they fall and remove the silver blocks that stand between you and victory.

The innovative puzzler started out as a web-based title, and has so far racked up 15 million plays.

According to the game's creator, Ben Cusack, KooZac is "an immersive and rewarding puzzle game that anyone of any gaming experience can learn, enjoy, and share with others." That'll be the reason for its success, then, eh.

KooZac is available right now on the App Store for 69p / 99c as a Universal app. If you happen to visit Alton Towers over the next couple of weeks, though, you'll can pick up a copy of the game for free.
