A spec sheet for the next Android Nexus flagship phone has surfaced on the web, leading to speculation that a successor to Google and Samsung's nine-month-old Galaxy Nexus device could be on its way.

Aptly codenamed 'Superior', this rumoured device will reportedly boast a faster dual-core processor - 1.5GHz vs the Galaxy Nexus's 1.2GHz chip - a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera, and an 8-megapixel rear snapper.

The Superior will also reportedly sport a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD screen, which will be perfect for watching all those films you have stored on your hard drive and for playing all your favourite mobile games.

No release date or price has been spotted just yet, but there are murmurings about a cheaper, competitive price point for the Nexus Superior.

Given that the Galaxy Nexus debuted in November 2011, roughly a year after its predecessor (the Nexus S), we can well imagine the Superior launching in November / December 2012.
