Pure Chess fans in the UK will soon have the chance to match wits - and pawns - with their friends across the pond.

RipStone has just announced that it will bring VooFoo Studio’s Pure Chess - a Bronze Award winner when released in the UK - to the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3 in the United Stated on May 29th.

The date of the game’s release ties in with the FIDE World Chess Championship Match, which occurs on the same day.

Developed with the aid of a chess Grandmaster, the gorgeous and challenging Pure Chess offers players the ability to play asynchronous games of chess with friends across the world.

In fact, Pure Chess can manage up to seven games simultaneous – assuming that you can do the same.

Pure Chess is UK-based RipStone’s first published game.
