Will Samsung announce the Galaxy S III at a special event in France on March 22nd?
What do you think?
Last week, Samsung confirmed that its highly anticipated Galaxy S III smartphone won't be making an appearance at this month's Mobile World Conference, but did reveal that the Galaxy S II's successor will be unveiled during the "first half" of this year.
Website FrAndroid has just announced that it's received an invitation to a special Samsung event that is scheduled to take place in France on March 22nd - just three weeks after the aforementioned Mobile World Congress.
Don't get too excited just yet, though. It's entirely possible said event has nothing to do with Samsung's next Android-powered Galaxy S device.
Still, recent rumours suggest that the forthcoming S III will hit store shelves sometime in May, so an official announcement a couple of months prior to the launch isn't completely out of the question.
PackedThe Samsung Galaxy S III is purported to pack a quad-core processor, an 8-megapixel camera, an S-AMOLED display, and Google's Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
Or, depending on whom you listen to, it'll house a whopping 12-megapixel snapper and a modified version of Android 4.0 with TouchWiz elements.
