E3 2009: Sackboy comes out of the PSP closet in LittleBigPlanet
Explore, create and share on the go
The PSP got a fair bit of attention at Sony's E3 press conference, though most of it was focused on the PSP Go! and why you should/shouldn't and do/don't need it, but one or two game mentions also filtered through.
For most PlayStation fans, it's the PSP adaptation of LittleBigPlanet that's the most exciting development on the handheld console, and a few screenshots have just been revealed.
"Imagine a whole world where you could play, explore and create whatever you like - and imagine that you could take that world with you wherever you go," reads Sony's press release.
Sackboy has survived the transition very well and, more importantly, so have the beautiful environments that bring the game to life. And the gameplay also sounds to be pretty much identical to the PSP's big brother, allowing you the same level of interaction as the PS3 version.
"That's LittleBigPlanet for PSP - the portable version of last year's iconic PS3 hit," the announcement continues. "Get inside the mind of the loveable Sackboy and explore, create and share - running, swinging and leaping through a universe where you can move everything you touch."
