Little Inferno introduces a brand new Holiday-themed expansion ten years after release
The excellent quasi-puzzler Little Inferno, from the developers of Human Resource Machine and 7 Billion Humans, has received a brand new massive expansion for the holidays. With the Ho Ho Ho Holiday expansion, you’ll be able to experience a brand new story, 20 new toys to play with, a new character, over 50 new combos, and more!
Little Inferno is an odd little indie hit, and takes place almost entirely in front of a fireplace. Utilising this fireplace, you’ll throw in toys that you can get from a catalog, and use the debris that each makes for various purposes. This is an incredibly vague description, but Little Inferno is an incredibly vague game, and you’ll honestly just have to play it to understand the gameplay loop.
As for this expansion - which is the first expansion the game has received since it launched an entire decade ago, by the way - it introduces a brand new storyline that expands upon the weird and satirical bleak world that Little Inferno takes place within. Along with this, it also features new toys to burn up, and new combos to create using the remains of those toys.
Add in a brand new character, and there’s a lot to dig your teeth into here, especially if you already loved the original game. It’s quite impressive to see such an old game like this receive a batch of new content so much later, but it’s a welcome surprise that any fan of the indie scene is sure to appreciate.
If you’d like to give it a go yourself and try to wrap your head around the strange, strange world of Little Inferno, you can purchase it at either of the links below for $2.99. The expansion itself can then be purchased for $4.99 as well!
