Kemco brings new RPG-adventure Knight of the Earthends to Android

Kemco has hit the two major app stores with a double whammy of old skool RPG action, bringing an English language version of DarkGate to iOS, and new fantasy outing Knight of the Earthends to Android.

If you're a fan of the developer's previous work (Symphony of Eternity, Grinsia), then you'll have a good idea of what to expect from these two 16-bit-inspired titles.

DarkGate

Though it's been available to Japanese iOS customers since late last year (and to Western Android users since August), DarkGate can now be enjoyed by English-speaking iPhone owners.

Its comprehensive job system and pacey battle engine helped to earn it a thumbs-up from our reviewer, while its familiar tale of Demon Lords and bold warriors tickled our nostalgia receptors in just the right way.

Knight of the Earthends

Knight of the Earthends, meanwhile, is an all-new Android-based adventure. This one aims to scratch your RPG itch with its own blend of turn-based combat, retro visuals, and melodramatic plotting.

Cast as warrior knight Reiya, you must journey into the forests of Graileda to slay the huge beasts which have recently awoken.

As you might expect, all is not as it initially appears, and before long Reiya and her curious companions are on a journey that will take them to the ends of the earth - and beyond.

iPhone owners can grab DarkGate from the App Store for the reduced price of 69p / 99c [download].

Knight of the Earthends, meanwhile, is now available from Google Play for £3.99 / $3.99 now [download].
