Nintendo prez Satoru Iwata lifted the lid on the first ever 3DS game, and it'll feature a character who hasn't had his own games for about 20 odd years.

Pit, and Kid Icarus, debuted on the NES and had a brief jaunt on the Gameboy, but he wasn't seen again until Super Smash Bros Brawl on the Wii. Now he'll finally fly again, in full eye popping 3D.

Kid Icarus: Uprising will be heading to the 3DS, when the new console releases.

The game lets you fly about, as you dodge lasers and shoot arrows, but you can only flap your angel wings for five minutes, so you'll be back on the ground with traditional combat in no time.

Graphics in the trailer looked rather nice, and definitely ahead of the DS, but not quite the Xbox 360 claims we heard in rumours.

We'll see much more on this game soon.
