Katamari Damacy rolls its way onto the Switch this Winter
Naaa-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-naaa
You love the Switch, right? Who doesn't? But don't you think there is a place in the Switch's heart (which is its cartridge port) that could hold a weird, trippy, colourful game with a rocking soundtrack? Well wonder no more, because Katamari Damacy Reroll is coming to the console later this year.
The game is a remaster of the original in the series - you play as the son of the King of All Cosmos, who destroys a bunch of stars in the galaxy (he drank a bit too much). You have to remake the stars by rolling around a ball that will collect more and more objects, making the ball even bigger. It's a weird, charming premise, but the gameplay is where it's at.
And there are now some cool new changes coming to the Switch remaster. You can use the Joy-Con's gyro controls to move around and have them be used as two separate controllers in a multiplayer battle mode.
It might not be a new game in the series, but it's been some time since we've last seen a Katamari game on a console, so I'm particularly excited to get my hands on this classic when it's released.
Katamari Damacy Reroll will be out later this year digitally on November 30th and physically on December 7th.
