Jewel Quest II heads to iPhone

Touchscreen puzzler pops up on the App Store

Jewel Quest II heads to iPhone

I-play has released puzzler Jewel Quest II for iPhone. The match-three puzzle game has a noble history on PC and mobile, but now it's available for iPhone and iPod Touch too.

You play a chap named Rupert, who's exploring Africa searching for jewels via the medium of moving gems around in big grids to make lines of three or more in a row.

No, we don't think real treasure-hunters do this either.

Anyway, it's a familiar puzzle mechanic, and on other platforms, the Jewel Quest series has it perfectly tuned to keep you playing. This iPhone version has more than 50 puzzles to solve, as well as touchscreen controls.

The game is available now for £5.49, and will go head to head with Bejeweled 2, Diamond Twister, and freebie title Aurora Feint. To buy Jewel Quest II, click on the 'Buy It' button.
