Sometimes, the price of a JRPG on the App Store is enough to make you spit out your juice. This means fans of the genre have to continually keep an eye out for sales. Probably.

Here's one.

You might know Kemco from such games as Symphony of the Origin and Covenant of Solitude. Well, Kemco has now decided to slash the prices of its Alphadia series on the App Store by a whopping 86 percent.

So, yeah, you can now pick up RPG Alphadia and its imaginatively titled sequel RPG Alphadia2 for 69p / 99c apiece.

That's two huge JRPGs that span more than 200 years of imaginary history for less than the price of a coffee.

Both of these games adhere to the 'rules' laid down by 16-bit era Final Fantasy titles. Plucky young heroes with expansive hair and enormous weapons set out to free the world from a mysterious evil, basically.

Cue random turn-based encounters, travails across a large world map, and bizarre dialogue exchanges set to hyper-melodramatic music.

If you've got a spare couple of quid lying around in your bank account and fancy finding out all about Energi, the Schwarzschild Empire, and somebody called "Milfy", you can pick up RPG Alphadia [buy] and RPG Alphadia2 [buy] from the App Store right now at cut price.
