Freemium turn-based strategy title Hunters: Episode One leaps onto iPhone and iPad

Hunters: Episode One is a turn-based strategy game and the debut title from studio Rodeo Games.

It's set in the year 2981, when mankind has spread through the galaxy finding refuge on planets not ruled by governments, but bought by corporations.

Groups of mercenaries - otherwise known as Hunters - travel through space taking on dangerous and illegal jobs for corporations.

Hunters: Episode One has been designed from the ground up specifically for the iPhone and iPad. Controlling a team of Hunters, you have to undertake missions and fulfil Contact Objectives. Missions are refreshed daily with a 24 hour real-time deadline for completion.

Your team can be customised with weapons and armour, upgraded with special abilities, and sent to duke-it-out in 'richly detailed environments'.

Future episodes are said to be 'coming soon' and will add multiplayer story-based missions, new contracts, and more environments, weapons, and armour.

Hunters: Episode One is available for free for both the iPhone and iPad. After upgrading your team of Hunters to level two you can unlock the full game through in-app purchase for £2.99 / $4.99 and £4.99 / $7.99 respectively.

Alternatively, you can continue to play at level two for as long as you like.
