Square Enix reveals F2P RPG card game Guardian Cross for iOS
Final Fantasy XII and Tactics game designer in charge
Square Enix has posted the first teaser for its latest original mobile RPG Guardian Cross, a new free-to-play card battler for iOS.
Squeenix hasn't published too many details about the game thus far, but the game's new teaser site does reveal that the man in charge will be none other than Hiroyuki Ito (Final Fantasy V, VI, IX, XII, and Tactics).
Dream team?Final Fantasy veteran Akira Oguro will take care of character design, while Final Fantasy XI and Street Fighter Alpha composer Naoshi Mizuta will pen the music.
Guardian Cross's micro-site also reveals that the title will be a "Card Battle RPG", so I expect deck building to feature heavily.
The game is scheduled for release in the spring, so we'll no doubt be hearing more concrete details about the title soon.
For those keeping track of Square Enix rumours, both the date and the staff involved in Guardian Cross mean this isn't the title we caught wind of last week.
