Greedy Spiders – a new puzzle game from developer Blyts Mobile – has been released for iOS and Android.

The purpose of the game is to rescue flies from a web by carefully eliminating strands and using decoys. All the while spiders scurry around looking for the best way to get to their lunch.

The action in Greedy Spiders is turn-based, so it's more akin to chess than to the casual gaming fare it initially resembles. Winning requires concentration and patience rather than quick reactions.

Rather a lot of concentration, it would seem. Blyts Mobile has already released three level walkthrough videos on its YouTube page because of the colossal number of requests through Facebook and Android Market.

A lite version of the app is available for free on Android, but if you want the full experience it’s £0.61/$0.99. It's due to hit the App Store very soon.
