Granny in Paradise goes mobile

If it was multiplayer, we could say it had a Bluetooth rinse

Granny in Paradise? That'd be her putting her feet up watching Strictly Come Dancing with a large mug of gin tea, in our experience.

Tag Games' upcoming mobile game wisely eschews such unpromising subject matter. Instead, Granny in Paradise is a conversion of a popular web game of the same name. You play Super Granny (nothing to do with the 1980s kids TV show, sadly), who's on holiday when her cats are abducted.

We're not sure if the mogs are on holiday with her at the time, although we don't think Saga would stand for it. But anyway, as the riled old lady, your job is to set off on a 30-level platform adventure to rescue them.

Thankfully, you're quite active, able to run, dig, climb, swing, float and tumble your way through the game. It's an intriguing concept, and from the screenshots, it looks like Tag have worked hard to do the original game justice on mobile.

Click 'Track It!' to be sent a nan-a-gram when we review the final game, which should come out this summer from an as-yet unconfirmed publisher.
