God of War returns to PSP with intriguing plot revelations
Kratos born again
After the huge success of God Of War III, on PS3, the next instalment in the series will be comparatively diminutive, if equally ambitious.
God of War: Ghost of Sparta will bring Kratos back to the PSP and PSPgo.
The last time he swung his blades on the handheld in Platinum award winning Chains of Olympus, the game became the highest rated PSP title of all-time on Metacritic.
Ready At Dawn, the team responsible for that achievement, are back at the helm - in close collaboration with Sony's Santa Monica Studio - and the game looks set to raise the bar further for PSP visuals.
Just take a look at the shots in the gallery to see what we mean.
More, meanerFor the statistically minded among you, Ghost of Sparta will provide 25 percent more gameplay, according to the press release (we hope that means 125 percent in total), so the UMD/download should offer plenty of value for money.
The game itself is a chronological prequel, picking up where the first God of War ended.
Here, you will learn how Kratos ascended to become the god of war, the origins of his tattoo and scar, as well as his own revelations about his family.
