Ghosts 'N Goblins: Gold Knights info dug up for iPhone
Arthur and Lancelot don their loincloths and armour
Capcom let slip a retro teaser at this year's Tokyo Game Show, when an untitled iPhone variation of the impossible, yet awesome mediaeval platform game Ghosts 'N Goblins appeared briefly in its presentation.
Rumours abounded that this was in fact an adaptation of the sequel Ghouls 'N Ghosts, though our suspicions were raised due to the apparent use of 3D graphics - bringing the game closer to the PSP game, Ultimate Ghosts 'N Goblins.
Anyway, Capcom has finally put those rumours to bed, announcing Ghosts 'N Goblins: Gold Knights will soon be coming to iPhone, and despite almost sharing a name with last year's mobile refresh of the franchise, it's definitely more closely related to the PSP game.
Sir Arthur returns to the Ghoul Realm in full 3-D, battling against swarms of daemons, monsters and zombies across six perilous levels in an attempt to rescue the damsels in distress.
For the first time in a Ghosts 'N Goblins game, you'll also be able to play as a second character, Lancelot, while additional downloadable content will come online and allow you to customise your Ghosts 'N Goblins experience.
No word on a release date yet, but it's a fair bet we'll see it this side of Christmas.
