The future of Ghostbusters DS looks uncertain

Some of the first details regarding the merger between Vivendi Games and Activision have been revealed in a press release from the companies. And it's not looking like the best of news for Vivendi's Ghostbusters.
The publishers, which will merge to form Activision-Blizzard, have confirmed five Vivendi games will make the transition to the new company. Which are: Crash Bandicoot, Ice Age, Spyro, Prototype and an as-yet unannounced title. Vivendi's Ghostbusters game meanwhile isn't mentioned.
However, according to a source speaking to Videogaming247, the game has not been canned and instead will be offered up to other publishers. The source says: "Considering where it is in development, hopefully someone else will pick it."
Of course, depending on who decides to take it on, the game may not remain a multi-format release, so the DS game's future certainly isn't as definite as it was when it was first announced.
Not many firm details have previously been revealed about the DS game - but it was rumoured to feature cartoon visuals, top-down driving around the city in the Ecto-1 and management game-style upgrading of ghost-busting equipment. Which basically all added up to meaning we wanted to play it.
Fingers crossed we'll get to. Still, it's great news Spyro survives eh?
