Ghost Rider on the horizon for PSP
The game of the film of the comic should be ready by early 2007
There was a time when superheroes led fairly average daily lives: journalists, photo reporters, scientists, millionaire playboys. But as with many things, their contemporaries today have to go that one step further.
Take Johnny Blaze. He's a superstar motorcycle stunt rider who happens to be immortal following a deal with serial soul-collector, Mephistopheles. The deal sees Johnny play nightly host to supernatural fire-loving alter ego, Ghost Rider, before setting off to right the world's wrongs. A little more exotic than being bitten by a radioactive spider, isn't it?
The game follows on from the narrative of the Marvel comic book, as well as that of the forthcoming Columbia Pictures film, and naturally features many of the characters and chrome-laden motorcycles from both, while intertwining original content with established Ghost Rider mythology.
The action plays out in third-person, and focuses on hand-to-hand combat and high-speed bike sections for what we're assured by 2K's marketing department will be an experience the franchise's fans will love. And if the fans love it, goes the theory, so will everyone else.
We're quite in high spirits about this one, which is due to come out alongside the film in February 2007. If you hit 'Track It!' above, you'll get to know whether we're right to be so as soon as we post any updates.
