Gedda-Headz social multiplayer chat game the first app to employ IAPs on Series 40
Title pre-loaded on Asha range
Announced by Nokia yesterday, the first developer to utilise the new in-app purchase system for the Series 40 powered Asha 303 has already come forward.
Gedda-Headz, which produces a social multiplayer game and chat app by the same name, is set to employ IAPs to allow users to change and upgrade their avatars.
Headz up
Said avatars – or headz, as they are known – duel against each other, with users able to peruse a total of 42 variants from the game's store.
The app's virtual currency – known as respect points, which accumulate when users connect with each other - can also be employed to level the heads up, giving the player in question an advantage in said duels.
As such, the more a player is invested in the game, whether through sheer time or IAPs, the better they're likely to perform.
Gedda-Headz will be pre-installed on the entire Asha range of handsets, according to the studio, with IAPs initially launching on the Asha 303 device.
