Galaxy on Fire 2: Valkyrie expansion landing on iPhone and iPad in April
Free retro pack also incoming
iPhone and iPad outer-space simulator Galaxy on Fire 2 is set to receive its first add-on at the end of April.
Developer Fishlabs has announced that Galaxy on Fire 2: Valkyrie will make its debut at GDC in San Francisco, and promises fans a new storyline as well as plenty of new spaceships, weapons, and equipment.
Valkyrie will see Keith Maxwell, the hero of the first two parts, face a new enemy as he takes on a conspiracy that threatens him and his friends.
Michael Schade, CEO of Fishlabs Entertainment, is keen to stress that the expansion won't be, “just a typical game add-on.” He adds that the, “elaborately voiced story, which takes players to new systems, a variety of ships from a completely new class, and unique weapon types make Valkyrie a new title in the successful Galaxy on Fire series.”
Although it may not be a typical game add-on, the method of obtaining Galaxy on Fire 2: Valkyrie will be fairly typical - it'll be available as an in-app purchase at the end of April.
The expansion will be accompanied by a free update in the form of a retro pack which includes high resolution ship models from the first episode of Galaxy on Fire.
