it looks great but i dont know if to get it i mean i have $300 and something. i got the 3ds which is awsome but i cant really get it to be my all time favorite.(reffering as to not that many like super duper games) althrough i will have to look at it more! thanks for the info it really helps me decide! I still have my PSP 1001, one of the first model that came out. Is impressive the huge game catalog and how is still in the edge. Now I also own the Vita, and I have to say it blow me, is insanely amazing and the future of this device is more than promising. Sony did it again, revolutionazing the game industry once more.

those who say its doomed are ppl who have 3ds on their hand and regret not owning vita.i still remember my first handheld gameboy that i so enjoyed but with the ps vita its all future baby.i am really impressed more than ps3 coz it has
1 sharp pic oled
2 lots of input or control
3 two sticks for fps shooter
4 gps camera .....

the most important of all 200 games launching together with the handheld.

i am the one who bought it from japan coz i was impatient.i also bought ps3 for 700 on craigslist at its launch.i have been gaming for 18 yrs from nintendo to sony to microsoft to pc.

It's looks an old, outdated design. More like a PSP2, than a brand new handheld conssole. Vita fallen before released.

The article raises some good points, but...

...is complete nonsense. More powerful hardware has never been a guarantee of better or more diverse games. Rather, more powerful hardware has historically meant risk-averse publishers wanting identikit software that looks good in still bullshot form for previews.

I agree with Tantoa, the PSP really does have an amazing array of games available. In fact it's the one console I play regularly and I have a stack of games piled up that I haven't managed to get through yet.

The number one thing that will determine whether or not Vita fails will be how the system is handled by SCEA & SCEE. SCEE are already off to a bad start - no 32Gb cards at launch and making Gravity Rush PSN only are the sort of bonehead moves that will seriously put off consumers.

2) It isnt 7 years later
3) Why does something have to outshine something else?

Seriously though the only thing I take issue with is the games. We dont know how the libary will be. You really cant predict that

better hardware does not automatically equal better library, in fact it almost never does.

The psp had the second best library this gen of amazing titles. Both quality and quantity
