New here - DSi owner - Question

Hi there,

I'm sure I'm the 5 billionth person to ask but why are there "no new posts" allowed on the DS boards? Talking about the DS is why I registered in the first place!

Hmmm, Were you logged in at the time?

Can you not post at all or not create new threads?

Yes, logged in. Though haven't actually tried posting anything there! Just saw "No New Posts" and noticed that last action was over 2 weeks ago. Suggested to me the boards were closed or something. Perhaps I'm mis-reading the situation and they're just very quiet?

It just means there's been no posts int eh last 2 weeks, you can change the preferences at the bottom of the page to see earlier posts.
You can still create threads in there though, I created one as a test (then deleted it).

Fair enough. Just find it odd that the DS/DSi boards are the only ones that haven't had any posts for ages. Given the popularity of the machines I'd have thought there'd be more action there. Particularly on a forum dedicated to hand-held gaming...

Possibly the Iphone apps are becoming more and more popular and stealing some of Ninitendo's thunder.
Plus the DS/DSi appeals in a large way to very young kids who might not be posting online yet.

On another note, I haven't really seen much come out on the DS that really grabs me for quite some time now, as such I don't post about it much.
I don't know if other people feel the same way :shrug:
