the biggest problem with playing games using the DS browser is that it doesn't support Flash, which is the technology most PC webgames use. So while there are probably a few games that have been written especially for the DS browser, there aren't that many.

It's true that the browser doesn't support Flash, but it does support Javascript and there are games available using that. The biggest problem is likely to be the screen size and control positions, but some people are developing and adapting Javascript games for the DS.

The browser is still the easiest way to get into creating games for the DS, albeit games that cannot fully exploit the device's full potential.

That Half Broken Crown game appears to require Active X to run, which means it's unlikely to work on the NDS.

well supposedly they say it has been specifically designed to work with the DS opera broswer.

DS opera browser is good and also you can download the nintendo ds browser. It is also good. I like the both browser. Activs part is skip in that browser and features are also good.
