PSP Slim Spiderman Bundle

Postby duane » Mon Nov 19, 2007 1:36 pm

Does anyone know whether this new bundle is available anywhere?

Or when and where it might become available.

It is a red & black PSP slim + Spiderman 3 game + Spiderman 3 UMD Movie.

The other 'new' bundle (Simpsons yellow) is already available at Toys r Us and Tesco.

Thanks

Wow, sounds quite a cool combo that (although the film was a little poor).
Hadn't heard of it myself, but I'll get my PSP editor to investigate!

Hi there, duane

The Spider-Man and Simpsons bundles were supposed to be available at the European launch of the PSP Slim & Lite. However, to date, I've yet to see one for sale. (I have noticed Toys 'R Us lists the Simpsons bundle but every time I've looked it's been out of stock.)

I'll ask Sony and report back.

I've found the Spiderman bundle on Ebay (see below) although I'm not prepared to pay that much!

Hopefully this is a sign that they are becoming available.

The Simpsons bundle was definately available to buy this weekend at my local Toys R Us.

Hi Duane, we're still looking too and as soon as it surfaces we will let you know. Incidentally, the Simpsons themed PSP slim and Lite that I have seen in the shops is not like the one that Sony first showed at Leipzig.

The first images of it has a pic of Homer's head on the back over to one side whereas the one that is actually out in the shops doesn't have this.

Shenanigans I say!

I see them everywhere here in Portugal (Vobis, Worten, FNAC stores...)

It's the simple slim I can't get a hold of... I just wanted a white slim, since I actually sold my white PSP a couple of days ago and I was thinking about whether to wait, or buying that spider-man pack. The thing is I don't like those black buttons, or the black back... There's a totally red PSP coming out in Japan for this xmas, but it will probably take some time getting here. Officially the slims we have available are the ones in packs (simpsons, spider-man), piano black and the light gray one... I'm regreting to have sold my white PSP "phat" ....

here they are

Vobis: http://www.vobis.pt/ProductDetail.aspx? ... 9|5973|&c=

fnac

worten

Like I said: they are everywhere here. I'll send you one if you send me a white slim ;)

and 300£ for one of those on eBay?!?!?!?! Jeeezzzzz. I'll buy them all and start selling them online for half that price

Just to bring closure to the whole thing, Sony has just confirmed to us that the Spidey bundle was not officially released in the UK - only in the rest of Europe.

Well, I was confirming it with Sony UK and don't have dealings with Sony Portugal (or even Europe). But I do have Portuguese video game journalist friends who could potentially help.

I would appreciate that. I'm considering waiting for a nice promo... right now the best available choice for me would probably be the spider man pack... I could eventually wait for the grey PSP to come back to stock, or even better, wait for the white one to come, but I'm not sure how long that will take...

Very nice, Karbono.

Sorry didn't get back to you - I did ask my journalist chums but pre-Christmas deadlines have kept them rather busy. And quiet.

No problem.

Oh, I'm saving the game and movie inside the original plastic covers. My 9 year old brother has a couple of christmas presents, already :D (I'm not really into the whole spider-man thing...)

And I got it for 194.95€ in a Vobis store where I asked them to equal the price of another store next to them (it was 204.95€). I think the guy made a mistake, since I was expecting 199.95€...

Anyway, I'm ready to wait for PSP2, now ;)
