What is good, bad or ugly about the Pocket Gamer website?

Article/Review suggestions...

Firstly, I'm an iPhone owner so I don't know how well these ideas would work for other mobile platforms, but since you asked for suggestions, here goes...

1) Game Comparison Features. There are now lots of similar-ish games coming out for the iPhone. E.g. routing games (Flight Control, Harbour Master, Shipwreck), tower defense games, etc etc. How about features that compare similar games.

2) Address mobility more in the reviews. The only time I get to play games is on my daily commute. But that means that some games are impossible to play. If I'm strap-hanging on a crowded tube, games that require two two-handed input are impossible to play. Even if I'm seated, many accelerometer games require me to wrestle my phone around as if I'm fighting it to the death, which is not possible when crowded or just plain embarrassing. What about evaluating games for the ability to play them when actually mobile, rather than sat at home? Perhaps indicators in the summary for one-handed vs. two-handed play, an accelerometer phone-waving wildness score, etc.

This is an excellent point. Most reviewers will be play-testing the software in the comfort of their homes/a nice comfy office chair/the local pub/etc rather than experiencing the 'real world' of mobile gaming, featuring a wide selection of hazards from innocent elbow jogging to the rather less innocent phone-nabbing hoodie.

Perhaps a re-visiting of certain games by a London-based reviewer - preferably around the Circle line at commuter rush-hour - would fulfil this goal.
