Dear Sirs,
I am writing to you in the hope that you could help me with my cell phone dilemma.
I am a busy mother of three who lives in Sacramento California, I play games constantly on my phone during carpool lagtimes. (I call myself the Mobile Mom!) Sometimes I feel like I'm an anomoly because I don't know many women that do play mobile games, but I enjoy them so much and they help me to relieve stress, escape reality and have a little fun during my packed days.
My frustration lies with the choices I have with AT and T for phones. My previous phone, the Samsung SGH D807, died out and in trying to find a similar phone that has a large screen, keys that are easily accessible, and a good network for downloading has been tough. My husband has told me that we can't afford the media package that comes with getting a blackberry or I phone, so I picked out an LG Shine and brought it home, since the screen was large and it has a toggle stick. I have found the stick hard to navigate and feel like there has to be something better. I have a month to exchange it and my choices are Nokia N75, LG Trax, Lg cu515, Samsung SLM or the Sony Ericsson w580i. I could also go with a Motorola Razor V3xx but don't know if the flat keyboard would cause as much of an irritant as the Lg shine does. I wish that some of the other choices from your best gaming phone list were here, but I can't seem to find any of them with this network, atleast.
Anyway, could you help me with this? I'd really appreciate it. Thank you,
Ellyn
I'd be tempted to stick with the LG shine just for the screen size, it's also a slider like your last phone so might suit you better than the clam shells you mentioned.
Out of the alternatives however, probably the best handset (in my humble opinion) is the Sony Ericsson w580i. Sony Ericsson usually has really solid support for 3D mobile games (as well as all of the usual Java goodies) and because it's a music phone it also has a bunch of extra controls on the front of the device that are handy for gaming if you don't like using the keypad. It's also a slider which going by your previous handset choices seems to be the best fit.
Other than that, you can't really fault a Nokia phone when it comes dependability and solid gaming performance (in my experience) plus the other handsets you mentioned have flush keypads as opposed to raised like the N75, which you mentioned you aren't too keen on.
That's my two cents, but maybe I'm completely off? What do the rest of you think, what should this Mobile Mom go for?
