Oooh, clash of the PSP titans, I like it. I'm going for LocoRoco, simply because for me it's the title that really defined the platform early on. Shame nobody really followed through on that vision.

I also remember thinking at the time that it really pushed 2D graphics beyond anything I'd seen previously. The amount of wobbly things on screen all at once is intoxicating.

I like Patapon too, but it does get a bit repetitive. The cute to fun ratio is also a bit heavily skewed in favour of the former at times. Still a cracking title though.

it a shame no one is doing 2d on the psp. i would like a studio rather than trying to force average to good 3d on the psp make amazing 2d games

i mean can you imagine an optimised for psp vanillaware game muramasa or even odin sphere or an enhanced port of princess crown and not a crappy port

some people do 3d on the psp very well(crisis core, god of war etc) we need more 2d companies making psp games

but then it seems to feel like a taboo to make 2d games on sony's console .

if i ever do start making games i'll make sure to cure this drought of awesome 2d on great hardware

Funny, Spanner and I were just lamenting the lack of a decent 2D Sonic game on consoles other than mobile. It's be great if Sega released a back to basics 2D Sonic on the PSP, complete with shiny detailed 2D graphics. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
