Whatever happened to the PSP and PS3 hook up?

Will ps3 have better graphics than xbox 360 in a year or two? Because i dont know wether to buy 360 now and a ps3 later or just get the ps3 now.

Pre E3 I was all set to finally grab a PS3 but I don't think I'll bother now - at least not until it's down to 200 euros new. PSP link up with the PS3 has never really interested me, but then, I'm sure it would if I had a PS3 - more for checking out my PS3 on the move than for linking PSP games to the PS3 a la Resistance Retribution.

What is the best media player to download to my ps3? I want to watch certain things online on my ps3, but have no media player installed. I am looking for the best free player out there. Has anyone downloaded one. Please help.
