Best Strategy games???

Can anyone tell me which strategy games are any good??

i dont know if anyone can remember the game "populas" for the mega drive?
if you can this is the sort of game i am looking for.

Errr....none on PSP. The PSP is not the handheld console of choice for strategy gamers I'm afraid. The DS has Settlers and Anno 1701, which are traditional strategy type games.

You're right Mandark - PSP strategy games are more warlike such as Field Commander. If you're really into strategy games, the DS is well worth it Hayley_26 - there are old PC favourites like SimCity and Theme Park too.

Warhammer Squad Command was looking very promising last I looked:

But it is one of very few indeed. There are probably a few gems available via homebrew using an emulator. If you are prepared to brave those waters, give us a shout and I'll try to get some links and info for you.

Hmm I've been debating over whether to get that Warhammer strategy game for ages but am still not sure. Still saw it was available on DS too but think I'd pick the PSP version anyway...trying to build up my library of games for it at the mo!

Populous was just relased on the DS ( I have both DS and PSP) and I LOVE both! They both have thier need out there. Lots of people have been real hard on ENdwar by Clancy but that's because they thought it was all going to be voice activated, but that misconception was based on a poor advertisment that misled people (unintentionally) by using the same video and blurb for the handheld release as they used for the console release.

I for one think that Clancy did a fine job on the End war if you Don't conpare it to Advance Wars, which is oh so similar. I have not tried the PSP version though, only the DS version. I think the PSP is more designed for action style games (ie racing) and the DS for strategy games. But as I have said, I HAVE and LOVE both as they both are equally good at what they present to the public.

I still personally feel Advance Wars and AW Days of Ruin (US) aka Dark Conflict (Eur) for the DS or even Fire Emblem, made by the same people and similar style, for the PSP though keep your eyes on Mytrian Wars coming out for that, I have high hopes for it and have been watching it for some time now...

I know tower defence is slightly different to strategy, but I've been playing the hell out of Tower Madness on the iPhone lately. It's immensely addictive.

Its really hard to find out the best strategy games. I remember some of the strategy games which i played and they are really nice. So if you haven't played yet, I would suggest you to play some of the games listed below,

5. Worms: Open Warfare.
