Noodlecake's Flappy Bird homage FlapThulhu: Flappy Madness swoops onto Android for nowt
Mad world
You know the rules by now: in R'lyeh, dead Cthulhu lies dreaming.
Except in this case, Canadian wizard Noodlecake Studios - it of Super Stickman Golf and Zombie Road Trip fame - has seen fit to upend the established order and mesh an ancient horror with a very modern one.
After being available on iOS for a few months, FlapThulu: Flappy Madness is now live on Android. In it, you guide an Ancient One through a maze of suspiciously familiar gates.
If you've sampled Noodlecake's output before, you will know what to expect here: a polished slice of anarchic fun with fairly solid mechanics and a few obstacles thrown in to make sure your tapping doesn't get monotonous.
If the gate clearing, or lack thereof, gets too much, the game also includes "Fight Mode". You know, as a bit of respite.
As far as raw gameplay goes, by the way, you use the tap-to-flap mechanic to avoid enemies and then stomp on their heads. Just as Lovecraft intended.
If you're in the mood for some Elder God action, then, head on over to the Google Play Store and download FlapThulhu: Flappy Madness for free now.
