The next instalment of FIFA will be breaking the back of the J2ME net next week, giving football fans the chance to get a better picture of how this year’s mobile football game championships will pan out.

FIFA 11 has received a major overhaul in the passing system, with a new mechanic that tries to pick out players in space rather than aim mindlessly for the man in the current direction of movement.

Be A Pro mode has also received an upgrade, with a refined player progression system and extra media options. There are still the ten officially licensed European leagues, and Season Mode should playing one man not be enough.

We’ll see if these changes are sufficient to wrest the lead from Real Football 2011 when the game launches on mobile networks next week.
