Gameloft's racer is off to a flyer

First shots of Ferrari World Championship mobile game

We wrote a few weeks ago about Ferrari World Championship: it's a new mobile game that's the result of Gameloft's big-bucks licensing deal with Ferrari.

The publisher has just taken the wrappers off the game itself, releasing the screenshots above. It's looking pretty good, as you can see.

The game makes it possible to play as Kimi Raikkonen or Felipe Massa, and take part in a World Championship mode consisting of nine races around the world.

There's an option to use simplified controls if you're a racing newbie, three levels of difficulty, and a pitstop mini-game used to change your tyres and fill up with petrol.

Oh, and Ferrari nuts will blow their gaskets over the Classic mode, where you drive the gorgeous 1951-era Ferrari 500 F2.

The game is out imminently, so click 'Track It!' for a speedy alert when we review it.
