Exit makes its entrance to DS

Back at last year's Tokyo Game Show, it was announced PSP game Exit would be coming to DS. Hijoguchi Exit DS - as it's called in Japan - was confirmed for release there in January 2008, although there was no news on a western launch.
With no further news since then, we still have our fingers crossed it will come out here, although we uncrossed them temporarily earlier today when we discovered we could play a demo of the game on its new flash site. It's all in Japanese but it's easy enough to fathom out - check it out here.
The game Exit features a professional escape artist known as Mr ESC who goes into dangerous buildings to rescue people, with those you save then following you out to safety. The game's 100+ settings include burning hotels and flooded shopping malls.
On DS it features full touchscreen controls so you can draw Mr ESC's path ahead, while the top screen shows an overall map of the building you're in. Its distinctive stylised graphics look near identical to the PSP version, which we scored highly when reviewed back in 2006.
Hopefully Exit DS will make it to the UK at some point. In the meantime, don't all rush to the Exit (site) at once.
