Gameloft announces J-RPG 'tribute' Eternal Legacy
Third time's a charm for Gameloft in Thanksgiving week
Earlier this week Gameloft lifted the lid on Uncharted-esque action-adventure game Shadow Guardian, and it's just followed that up with another big announcement: Eternal Legacy.
It's a running joke in the world of mobile gaming that you can define a Gameloft game by the home console title it most closely resembles. Though Eternal Legacy's inspiration isn't as clear cut as Shadow Guardian's, the name Final Fantasy VIII was probably mentioned in the planning meetings.
It features a silver-haired hero with an impractically large sword, a futuristic fantasy setting, magic, and all the hallmarks of a ripping Japanese RPG yarn.
Gameplay details are scarce at the moment, but we'll be bringing you more in the coming weeks. Eternal Legacy is coming to iPhone and iPad 'soon'.
