E3 2012: Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion coming to 3DS in November

Arty side-scroller Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion will be leaping onto 3DS screens this November.

Back in March, we brought you the happy news that the first handheld spin-off from the Epic Mickey franchise would serve as a spiritual sequel to the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis classic Castle of Illusion.

The gameplay will consist of some good old-fashioned 2D platforming and touchscreen "painting", a mechanic through which you can draw items into the game world using the 3DS's stylus.

Disney and developer Dreamrift are going all out to bring the past into the third dimension in Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion, so expect numerous visual references to beloved Disney movies, and even a sly nod to retro RPG Suikodon.

Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion will be released on November 18th.
