Alien scum heading to the PS Vita later this year in Earth Defense Forces 3 Portable

There's a new entry in the Earth Defense Force series coming, and this time the destination platform is the PS Vita.

Details are incredibly silm at the moment, with publisher D3 simply saying that Earth Defense Forces 3 Portable is on the way sometime later this year in Japan.

The Earth Defense Force games usually appear in Japan and then pop up in the West a few months later, so expect this one to land in the UK at the start of 2013.

As for how it will play, it's safe to assume that it will be a third-person shooter that revolves around a military unit who are tasked with bringing down nasty aliens who don't particularly like humans.
