Kroll gets localised for Japanese iPhones

Digital Legends has announced that a fully localised version of its iPhone game Kroll is being released in Japan.

It's called 刀龍 - Legend of Kroll, with the hero now a ninja warrior. The game has Japanese language throughout, three new levels, new enemies and even a new game mode.

Digital Legends worked with Japanese firm GungHo Online on the new game, including its subsidiary Game Arts.

The game launched on the Japanese App Store today for 900 Yen, and is one of the first western iPhone games to get localised in this way for Japan.

"It has been a tremendous experience to partner with GungHo Online and fit the game to the Japanese market," says Digital Legends boss Xavier Carrillo Costa.

"We found great enthusiasm working together and GungHo Online had an outstanding contribution. We trust 刀龍- Legend of Kroll will excite Japanese gamers."
