Mobile users are a bunch of animal lovers, judging by the success of various virtual dog games. Gameloft's Dogz was one of the best, so Dogz 2 is eagerly awaited.

The publisher has just unveiled it. The game lets you rear a family of up to three pups, watching them interact with each other. There are three breeds to choose from, and every dog has its own personality – they might be lazy, cuddly or active, for example.

The game switches between isometric and 3D views, with you feeding, petting and washing your dogs, not to mention teaching them tricks and competing for prizes at the local stadium.

You even get to try a bit of discipline, doling out rewards or punishment to train them to your liking, while exploring the various in-game locations.

As you can tell, it's looking pretty good in a Nintendogs stylee thanks to those 3D close-ups. The game is out soon, so click 'Track It!' for an alert when we review it.
