Mickey Mouse jumps on the mobile Sudoku bandwagon

What elements could you possibly add to a sudoku mobile game that haven't been done before? Power-Ups? Explosions? A Motley Crue soundtrack? Mickey Mouse?

Take one guess which option Disney has gone for. No, not the hair metallers. Disney Puzzle Pack includes Mickey-branded sudoku, but also throws in Donald Duck solitaire and Minnie Mouse mahjong, making it something of a bargain. For each game, the character explains the rules, and then pops up now and again to give useful hints.

Disney is promising two levels of difficulty for each mode, and a final ranking based on how many puzzles you've solved and the average time it took you to solve them. You'll also be able to challenge your friends, presumably by passing your handset around rather than full multiplayer.

As you can see from the shots, the games are suitably colourful and well-presented, which should appeal to Disney fans old and young. But mainly young.

The game is out this month. Click 'Track It!' to go quackers when our review is published.
