Sega makes Dinosaur King for DS
First screenshots of what looks a bit like Pokemon with dinosaurs
Trust Sega to brighten up an otherwise slow day by releasing some screenshots of a mystery game and then telling us next to nothing about it.
All we know about the game is that it's called Dinosaur King and it lets you play as one of two characters - Max and Rex - on an adventure to stop some evil outfit known as the Alpha Gang from using dinosaurs to take over the world.
Over 100 unique species of dinosaur will feature in the game, and it's looking like to collect them you'll need to excavate bones from the ground then assemble them. A 3D battle system is promised in which you can choose which of your collected dinosaurs to fight. It'll work in a paper-scissors-rock style and will be playable head-to-head with two players.
The only other observation we have to offer, gleaned from the screenshots, is that it would seem to be a sort of action RPG a bit like Pokemon and it looks very pretty. The details might be a bit sketchy, but from what Sega has revealed we're eager to hear more. Especially when we can expect it to be coming out.
