Sweating it out for 15 hours a day keeping people eating in a greasy diner isn't many people's idea of a dream way to spend the day.

Blame schadenfreude, then, (that is enjoying other people's misery, not some dour Eastern European cabbage dish) because a game where you're run off your feet all day, Diner Dash, has already been one of the most popular downloadable games on PC.

And after being announced what seems like ages ago (in mobile terms, at least), the game has now been released on mobile, courtesy of Glu.

In Diner Dash you play former stockbroker Flo as she as she serves customers and earns money to build her roadside food shack into the next Taco Bell. Better service results in higher tips and more money means more improvements, such as additional seating and nicer amenities.

What this boils down to is a feast of over 40 levels of gameplay set in four unique restaurant themes in Career Mode, a non-stop, steady stream of customers to serve in Endless Mode, and sundry extras such as five different customer types (including crucial professional food critics), coffee, drinks and appetizers to keep customers satisfied during busy periods.

"With Diner Dash, PlayFirst has established themselves as a hit-maker of casual games," said Glu Mobile's Robert Nashak, between mouthfuls of pastrami on rye. "Diner Dash on mobile gives fans of the PC title and casual mobile gamers alike the same great animation, fast-paced gameplay and compelling storyline."

We hope to get Diner Dash reviewed within the next week, so click "Track It!" above to be alerted when we do.
