Netflix announces two new games coming to scare everyone during Halloween

Netflix has had a terrific year so far on the mobile games front, with lots of power-packed releases such as Oxenfree II, The Queen’s Gambit Chess, Cut the Rope Daily, LEGO Legacy: Heroes and a lot more. The streaming giant doesn’t plan on stopping either as they’ve just announced two more games that will join their ever-expanding catalogue.

Netflix’s latest announcement comes at the perfect time as fans around the world are preparing for Halloween. Both their upcoming games have a spooky theme and are guaranteed to keep players hooked for hours. Minor trigger warning as there’s lots of bloodshed ahead.

First up is Slayaway Camp: Netflix & Kill (Blue Wizard Digital), a killer puzzle game where players take on the role of Skullface. He is a manic slasher whose only goal is to slaughter every single camp counsellor present in the grounds. In simple terms, the game wants you to make a massacre of Slayaway Camp.

While Skullface may be a psycho slasher, going on this murderous rampage will be no easy task. Players will have to clear several isometric puzzles during which they will squash, flay, and decapitate their victims with no mercy. All of it happens in a darkly comic fashion to make it seem…less horrifying.

The second title is from a pretty popular franchise - Dead Cells: Netflix Edition. The roguelite action platformer inspired by Castlevania will soon join Netflix games. Players will find themselves in a humongous castle that keeps changing on defeating its caretakers.

It features 2D souls-like combat, with a permadeath setting that’s waiting to destroy all progress made in a particular run. Playdigious isn’t messing around as there are no checkpoints, so players will have to learn from their mistakes and ensure they don’t die.

That’s all we know about the games for now, but more information should drop soon.

Until then, check out this list of the top Netflix games at the moment!
