Doragon has just posted a video online showing in-game footage of its upcoming bullet-hell sequel, Danmaku Unlimited 2.

Following in the neon vapour trails of the Pocket Gamer Silver Award-winning Danmaku Unlimited, this laser-fuelled blaster is chock-full of gunmetal grey space fighters spewing purple plasma towards anything with a working thruster.

According to Doragon's blog, fans can look forward to five new stages powered by the company's proprietary Eingana engine in Danmaku Unlimited 2. That Eingana engine is reportedly capable of spitting out HD visuals at 60 frames per second, by the way.

ZZZZZAP

Players will also be able to tweak their ship's abilities and firepower via a customisable upgrade system.

While the boss battles and scoring system in Danmaku Unlimited 2 are still a work in progress, there's enough polish on display in the game's preview video (posted below) to get our boosters fired up for the winter release.
