Swift and brutal musical puzzle-shooter Current has just received an update that delivers a number of welcome additions to the game, as well as a new mode.

The most appreciated change from our perspective is the inclusion of difficulty levels and a general toning down of the default toughness.

While we enjoyed the concept of the title for our review, the unrelenting pace was a little too fast for the amount of things going on at one time, so this alteration to the difficulty is very much welcome.

In addition to making this universal iOS game more approachable, TinkerHouse Games has added a turn-based mode to the title, which effectively turns it into a futuristic form of Bust-a-move.

Because the speed in this game mode is determined by you, it’s a lot easier to get to grips with the game’s subtle scoring mechanics and extra rules.

More music is planned for a later update, but for now you can pick up Current for 59p / 99c / €0.79 by hitting the link below.
