Cthulhu emerges from the depths with smartphone update for Cthulhu Saves The World

TinkerHouse Games's Lovecraftian JRPG parody Cthulhu Saves The World has received an update on iOS and Android which should come as a blessed relief to those who've downloaded it.

Despite Cthulhu Saves The World scooping a tidy Bronze Award from us on review, we did note a few niggles that let it down, you see, including control issues.

In his review of the game, our Harry said: "The controls when you're exploring are a little frustrating. You drag a finger along the screen and hold it to move in that direction, but the input can be erratic, and making quick direction changes is all but impossible."

That shouldn't be the case any longer, though. The rage-inducing swipe-to-move control system has been replaced with a default on-screen D-pad, so fear no more.

Easy reading

Those of you playing the game on an iPhone will be pleased to learn, too, that the text font has been changed, so should now be much easier to read.

Furthermore, TinkerHouse has squashed a couple of crash bugs, meaning that the game won't freeze up any more when you rotate the device, for example.

You can download the Cthulhu Saves The World update from Google Play and the App Store right now.
