Cult classic Crazy Taxi is now accepting fares on the New Zealand App Store, meaning it'll race over to the UK and US at midnight tonight.
Released in the arcades back in 1999, this wacky racer became a firm favourite among console owners when it was ported to the Dreamcast a year later.
The premise of Crazy Taxi is simple: you must compete against the clock to pick up and drop off as many passengers as possible.
The more fares you complete, the more cash you earn. You can accumulate extra bucks by performing jumps, and generally driving like a lunatic.
If you tire of collecting fares, however, there are 16 mini-games to keep your thumbs busy. Ever wanted to use a yellow taxi as a bowling ball? Of course you have.
Crazy Taxi purists will also be pleased to learn that, unlike the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network version of the game, the iOS port will include music by The Offspring and Bad Religion, thus restoring the soundtrack to its former glory.
